Why this book exists

Life can change in an instant.

A fall at home. An ambulance. Then the questions start:

Who is Mum's GP?

What medication is she on?

Where is the insurance?

What is the phone passcode?

"It's all in the Will." Most families assume so. But a Will isn't read until after death, and it doesn't hold the day-to-day information needed when someone is hospitalised, seriously ill or unable to speak for themselves.

Kay's story

When Kay's sister had a stroke and couldn't communicate, sorting out her affairs uncovered three separate super accounts, one of them held with a bank. Kay wrote this book, with her daughter Xanthe, so other families aren't left searching.

What's inside

One place for everything a family needs.

A practical, fill-in-the-blanks organiser. Fill it in once, update it as required, and your family or trusted person can find what they need in minutes. It is useful after a death, and also if someone becomes seriously ill, is hospitalised, loses capacity or is temporarily unable to manage their own affairs.

Readers are directed to a qualified lawyer for legal matters and to their professional adviser for financial decisions.
